Useful for directors, actors, dance and fight choreographers, and stage managers, workshop participants will help establish consent-forward practices in rehearsal rooms and productions, to enrich everyone's safety and maintain a creatively collaborative and trauma-informed environment.
Instructor:
Clove Love is a Multidisciplinary Theatre Artist and trained Intimacy Director with over 150 hours of experience and education in Intimacy Professionalism with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC). Clove began Intimacy Directing in 2021 at their alma mater and became passionate about bringing the practices with them past graduation, into the professional world. One of Clove's main goals in theatre is all about establishing these practices in as many theaters as they can. This work is vital to keeping everyone involved in the theatrical process safe; both mentally and physically, and helps to uplift the creative processes that the word "no" can open our minds to. Clove completed their final in-person training last Spring, and they will be a fully certified Intimacy Professional with over 200 hours of training in the field by 2026.
