Take your Shakespeare audition monologues to the next level in this two-session intensive for adult actors looking to book their next Shakespeare gig. Together we’ll break down and interpret the rich language and imagery of Shakespeare’s prose and verse, and find ways to plumb the depths of your audition pieces to breathe new life into timeless language.
Participants will leave armed with a deeper understanding of Shakespearean language and performance techniques, as well as new tools to navigate the upcoming audition season with confidence. Bring in 1-2 pieces you’re currently working on, or come looking for fresh monologues that will fit your type. Either way, attendees will walk away with 1-2 monologues they can confidently use in an audition setting. (Class meets on two consecutive Sunday evenings, 11/2 and 11/9.)
