Description

In this one-week class, students will work with an established casting director and SAG actor, exploring on-camera vocabulary and techniques for performing in film, television and commercials. We’ll cover audition techniques, commercial copy skills, script analysis, character study and how to make strong choices within the subtle performance parameters for camera. Participants will apply these tools to monologues and actor “sides” that are filmed by our teaching artists using professional equipment. Students will also learn how to create high quality self-taped auditions using their own phones or tablets and inexpensive DIY methods for lighting, sound, and camera work.
