Say “yes, and” sign up for this fabulously fun and creative class! Engaging exercises and group game play are designed to bolster students’ communication skills. Students will learn how to give and take focus, how to expand a few sentences into a full story, and how to create memorable characters. Performance-based improv games empower teens to start strong scenes, become team players, save their fellow performers when they’re stuck, and build on collaborators’ ideas. This class has a final performance for families and friends at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 18th. Instructor Bio: John Hauser is Miners Alley's Assistant Production Manager and resident sound designer. He has been seen both behind the sound board and onstage here at Miners Alley in many productions over the years, most recently seen as John Hinckley Jr. in Assassins and Dewey in School of Rock. He has taught in Miners Alley's summer teen programs since 2024, including the Creative Intensive, Acting for the Camera, and Improvisation. --- Our Teen summer classes are for students who are currently in grades 6-12 as of May 2026. All teen classes will take place at Miners Alley Performing Arts Center, 1101 Miners Alley, in Golden. Families who register students for multiple teen classes will receive a multi-class discount.
